Modified Silicone Elastomer
For Light Absorption


SES-BLACK is a high purity siloxane formulated with special inert fillers to impart light absorption and eliminate light transmission. SES-BLACK is designed as a protective coating for light sensitive semiconductor devices; other applications requiring light shielding of component arrays and digital displays are appropriate.

Catalyst SES-BLACK will cure at room temperature to a solid silicone elastomer with excellent electrical and physical properties. Elevated temperature curing will optimize electrical properties. The following products are offered:

INSTRUCTIONS:
  1. Add catalyst 0.3% and mix well: SES – BLACK CATALYST
    25 gms. 3 drops
    100gms 12drops
  2. Deaerate (necessary for molding thick sections).
  3. Cure: 24 hrs. @ 25 °C, or 3 hrs. @ 90 °C, or 1 hr. @ 125 °C
  4. Post-cure recommended for optimum electrical properties: 1 hr @ 200 °C.
