Transene Etch Gel 676 is an un-filled, odorless etching designed for screen printing or dispensing applications. Etch Gel 676 offers the advantage of stable viscosity and fine line control without hazardous fumes. Etch Gel 676 is suitable for use on PET and glass substrates but will attack alumina. Because Etch Gel 676 contains no inert filler, optimum clarity and etch control are attainable. Etch Gel 676 is suitable for etching ITO, aluminum oxide, and aluminum. Etch Gel 676 contains a surfactant for efficient wet out and ease of post-etch removal. Use with proper ventilation.

PROPERTIES

Briefly stir the gel to blend uniformly. Apply the gel to the substrate. Heat at 90-100 oC for 10-15 minutes (the gel may rest 5-10 minutes prior to baking). Rinse with warm water. Ultrasonic agitation during rinsing is preferred to remove all traces of etchant. Etch Gel 676 is compatible with stainless steel screens.
